THANKS

Arkansas MVPA would like to thank the vendors, those that brought vehicles, those that set up displays, guest authors, guest visitors (R. Lee Ermey, "the Gunny" from Mail Call; William D. Hobbs,  as General MacArthur and Charles Varner, as General Patton), members and public that attended the Little Rock Convention.   A special thanks goes out to each AR MVPA member that spent endless hours of time and effort  to ensure a smooth running Convention.  Thanks to: the Board of Directors for selecting Little Rock and the AR MVPA as hosts for the 32nd International Convention; Kenton Tucker for negotiating  the best possible terms for the Convention; Kay Willard, Tracey Metcalf and Susan Young for patiently answering our endless questions and requests and for the time spent in setting up all the final arrangements; to the Statehouse Convention Center for their efforts to promote a successful convention and for the congenial way that they worked with us; to the Democrat Gazette printing facilities for the use of their parking area; to the media for their coverage of our event; and to Lenna and David Hopkins for setting up tours, events, transportation, and being the liaison for the Convention Center.  Everyone working together made this a very successful convention.  If you missed the Little Rock Convention, don't forget the 2008 Convention in Portland, Oregon.  I'm sure it will also be a great Convention.

We Need You To

Help support the MVPA's convention AND the Historical Archives.

In 2002 JoAnn Lesser, First Lady of the MVCC of California, and then MVPA President Lee Holland, developed the Archive Sponsorship Program, in conjunction with the MVPA conventions. This program was created to attain financial support for the MVPA Historical Archives by combining a tax-deductible donation WITH convention registration. The higher the donation the more benefits offered to the sponsor.

All Sponsors receive a VIP nametag, to wear during the event, VIP reserved seating at the Saturday night Awards Banquet upon request, a certificate of recognition, a listing in the convention program, a "Thank You" in Supply Line plus a tax receipt in the amount of their donation less cost of goods and services.

The purpose of the MVPA Historical Archives is to collect, catalog, restore, preserve and display historical military items, objects and artifacts; to operate or participate in the operation of a museum of such items, objects and artifacts; and all other legal purposes allowed a nonprofit corporation. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, education, religious or scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
